"Beast in the Fog" by Mitch Baker prints ($19 - $399)

The fog was wet and heavy as I carefully made my way down to the shorefront. A distant noise caught my ear, and through the haze I spotted faint signal lights. Moving closer, a soft image emerged—an excavator, barely visible in the mist.

I never learned why they were digging up this stretch of beach, but I set up my camera and captured the scene: a looming beast of oil and metal, shrouded in distant fog.
