Frame by Frame
Devotion through repetition: 365 images, made by hand, each holding one day’s worth of seeing.
On January 1st, 2024, I began a daily challenge: one photograph each day using a large format view camera — aiming for 366 images by year’s end. Mistakes were made, of course, but that was part of the point. The habit and routine reshaped my way of thinking; sometimes absurd, sometimes intimate, always intentional.
This project pushed both concept and craft. I carried the camera into unfamiliar landscapes, approached strangers, crossed state lines. All to meet the day's image. Behind each frame lies the weight of process, the sweat and tears of handling and developing, and the joy of a growing archive of photographs… one sheet at a time.
The images that follow are a curated selection: 60 images selected from the year. The full collection will be shared soon.
