When did you start taking pictures with this process?

I started large format photography during the 2020 pandemic. A lot was going on during that time, not only in the world, but for me personally, and it gave me an opportunity to reinvent myself.

Before that I was introduced to film and photography in my last year in undergrad (2016) while studying drawing and painting. Since then the cameras just kept getting bigger. Lol.

What is the inspiration behind your challenge?

In winter of 2023 I was setting small challenges in classic retro video games (limited health/item pool) and trying to finish the game in absurd ways…

Eventually, I thought to myself, “The biggest challenge of all is life itself,” something like that. So I set an absurd challenge in my art that was realistic and I set off on January 1, 2024.

Will you make a book/exhibition?

Yes, when I am ready, next year when it gets wrapped up most likely is when that phase will begin.
